Automated Anti-vandal Series
Miller Park, Miller
A dual accessible booth Automated Anti-Vandal Series restroom at an urban park in Miller in western Sydney. The new toilet facility was part of a park upgrade programme with playgrounds and outdoor fitness equipment.
Liverpool City Council
The Miller Park project was the second project for Liverpool City Council. Both sites were high vandal risk which made the Anti-vandal Series with the Stainless+Concrete© Panel System a good application.
The building features automatic self-cleaning, automatic night locking, audio notifications and usage data logging.
Included in the project scope of works was a new electrical service into the park and bringing water in from the opposite side of Cabramatta avenue with underground boring.
A local artist was engaged to create digital artwork which was then applied to the external walls the building. The vibrant colours and anomalous patterns has also seemed to discourage graffiti attack due to the lack of contrast and readability of any of attack.
The facility has been highly welcomed by the young families regularly attending the park now for the extensive playground equipment.
