CONFIGURATION:

Country Style CS2 + CWT 10000 + Rain Water Harvest 500

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:

Miriam Vale Roadside Rest Area is at the site of a destroyed by fire service station. As the toilet facilities had been destroyed, Main Roads Queensland had to install toilet facilities for this well used truck stop bay. There are no sewer, septic tank or water services at the site. Disabled access was mandatory for public use. Environmental considerations required a zero discharge system.

OUR UNIQUE SOLUTION:

A country Style CS2 with two AS1428.1 (2001) compliant booths satisfied the disabled access requirements. An AS1546.1 (2008) compliant CWT 10000 site system with Site Specific Management Plan satisfied the environmental requirements. There is zero discharge system, all waste transferred to a municipal waste facility. The system satisfies Occupational Health and Safety issues for the facility managers. There is no requirement for staff to interact with or manage human waste. The CWT system is located below general ground level. There is no requirement for AS1428.1 compliant ramps or walkways. A FWT 10000 Fresh Water Tank was located at the rear of the building on an elevated platform. This yielded 5000 litres of water available at the sink. Another 5000L was available from a lower level tap at the rear of the building. A Gladstone based waste removal contractor was endorsed
