PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:
To replace an existing toilet facility in an urban park with a high vandal risk in Warwick. The park was situated on the highway leading into to town and was a popular stopping point for travellers. The council wanted a facility that was clean and fresh that attracted travellers to stop.
OUR UNIQUE SOLUTION:
Our
Conablue™
Stainless+ Concrete™ Panel system (a concrete pre-cast panel system with integral stainless steel internal lining and smooth-power trowled external surfaces finished with an anti-graffiti coating) was specified for all toilet wall panels.
Crime Prevention Through Environment Design (CPTED), a design guideline Pureablue recommends to be implemented in their designs, specifies that all toilet booths open onto public space - no female/male subdivision within the building - hence the five booths all open on to public space.
Handbasins were located in the common area in full sunlight for UV cleaning purposes.
A stainless steel cable and landscaped barrier was added to the front of the building to prevent children from exiting building and running directly on to the road.
All cisterns and plumbing was mounted in a rear plant room accessible through a rear hatch.
Extensive lighting was built-in with mains power connected.
